I’m a marketing strategist and communications expert with a primary emphasis on helping IT and professional services firms stand out from the crowd. I’ve been working in and around the technology industry for the last ten years, mostly with ITSMA, a marketing community, research, and consulting company that works with most of the top tech firms.
Before ITSMA, I had a more eclectic career ranging from writing public policy case studies for graduate studies at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and researching international relations and military affairs to running media education and training programs for American, Asian, and European journalists and doing media and PR consulting. I started working online relatively early (mid-1980s), and created a rudimentary online community for journalists in the mid-90s.
My work now focuses on helping clients improve performance in various aspects of marketing and business development, including brand strategy, thought leadership, demand generation, sales enablement, media/social media relations, marketing education and training, and corporate social and environmental responsibility.
